The House
The Villa and the old Paço
The main house holds the calm of a traditional Minho home, restored with contemporary comfort. Beside it rests the ruin of the former Paço de Grejufe, whose chapel once sheltered the image of Santo António.
The Vineyards
A terroir made for Loureiro
The estate lies in the Vale do Lima, inside the Vinhos Verdes demarcated region. The vines are worked with integrated production, with the greatest possible respect for the ecosystem that surrounds them.
The Gardens
Wisteria, water and shade
Vine and wisteria pergolas perfume the paths. There is a central courtyard, the kitchen garden, the orchard, the trees and the animals that set the rhythm of the day.
The Valley
Serra Amarela on the horizon
The valley opens towards the Serra Amarela and the beginning of the Peneda-Gerês National Park. The river Lima below, the hills, the silence, and the sun setting behind the olive grove and the village church tower.
Heritage
Valentim Brandão and those who came after
Eighteenth-century documents describe Grejufe as one of the most historically significant estates of São Martinho da Gandra. Its coat of arms was raised by Valentim Brandão Soares, nobleman of the Royal House and knight of the Order of Christ. The name Grejufe descends from the Germanic Gresulfus.
